…every few days I crave these healthy chips as a side but mostly I slice them up, sprinkle and bake them for lunch. My easy Maple Syrup + Chilli Sweet Potato Chips are the simplest to make. I like them crispy, sticky and golden so they take awhile to bake but they are worth waiting for…really they are!
Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees
Slice a Sweet Potato into chunky chip shapes
Place the chips in an oven proof dish
Add a light drizzle of light olive oil
Bake for 25 minutes.
Take out of the oven and lightly glaze the chips with Maple Syrup. It will give them a sweet coating which tastes delicious. I love the real Canadian Syrup which is available in Sainsbury’s- it’s amazing!
Add a pinch of cracked black pepper.
Gently Sprinkle Chilli flakes or Chilli powder over the chips
Bake again for a further 20 minutes.
The chips will be golden and crispy and soft in the middle with a kick of sweet Chilli.
